- What will
the site look like?
There will be a welcome page that
clearly shows (using shop icons) the variety of
shopping opportunities on the site.
These shop icons lead directly
to the relevant categories for the shop and in
turn will lead to a virtual catalogue of all
available products under that category.
The shopping experience is
illustrated by viewing any of the following
sites: www.trlshirts.co.uk, www.countrydesks.co.uk, www.kingshilldirect.com, and www.npeal.com
The site will, of course,
develop over time to compete with the most
advanced and interactive sites of our time.
The site will additionally
offer coffee break items such as a
poetry corner, a thought for the day, and a
picture-posting gallery for birthdays,
anniversaries and other special occasions as well
as quizzes and word games.(full

locksmiths etc.
The site will additionally
offer coffee break items such as a

- What is
the deal?
You, as
a supplier, chose your products that we make
available for sale on the Internet site.
You chose each product entirely
at your discretion. No other supplier can supply
the same product.
You may chose your best selling
lines, your difficult to sell lines or all (or
many) product lines.
Eventually all products will be
supplied by one or other supplier.
Whilst trying to keep the final
price competitive you set your required margin
the price we will pass on to you after a
sale. Your price will include VAT.
We must add a marketing cost,
postage and packing and a small margin to arrive
at the final sale price.
You will be consulted on the
final sale price to give you the opportunity to
lower your margin if you think it necessary and
affordable.
Each product will be catalogued
with photo, description, price details and
postage and packing requirements.
The products will then go
on-line and presented to the viewing public.(full
List)
- What is
the opportunity?
The
opportunity is for you to sell your products to a
national marketplace on what will be the
countrys best-known on-line shopping store
richworld.co.uk
You will most likely be selling
(e-tailing) at a lower margin than you currently
do on the high street but you will be
preparing to sell far greater quantities (but
never more than you desire).
At worst you will sell one or
two products a week on-line, still additional
business unless you lose a retail sale by using
your last stock item, and even if you did you
would only lose a few pounds vs. what
you could have sold the product for in-store
At best you will be a
millionaire within a year (though I would give it
five), having monitored increased sales levels
and subsequently increased your own stock levels
accordingly.
This is an opportunity for
local retailers, not nationals or multinationals.
It may be the only major opportunity to come your
way.(full List)
- What is
the sales process?
Customer orders on-line.
Order received at richworld.co.uk
richworld.co.uk authorises and processes credit and/or
debit card payment.
richworld.co.uk produce and despatch a same or next day
order to the supplier by an agreed method
(e-mail, fax or by courier).
Supplier takes item out of
stock inclusive of its usual packaging ready for
collection (in some cases by prior agreement and
arrangement the supplier will add any necessary
packaging and labelling for product to be
completely ready for despatch to consumer).
richworld.co.uk will arrange for collection, final
packaging and labelling and delivery of product
to consumer.
The supplier will require a
signature on the order-form by an agreed
signatory upon release of the product. It is by
this signature that the supplier can confirm the
product(s) were received by richworld.co.uk and that the products were as ordered.(full
List)
See section 13.
How are payments collected and made? for details of suggested
invoicing procedures.
See section 12. What
happens if a product is returned? for details of the returns policy and
process.
- What will
it cost me?
At
this stage there are no costs to you except
perhaps in the early days the marginal difference
between on-line sale price and your in-store sale
price but even this marginal
loss is only real if an on-line sale
leaves you with no stock to complete an in-store
sale.
If stock is managed effectively
then on-line sales will only ever generate
additional revenue and profit.(full
List)
- What are
the first steps?
You
need to select a range of products.
List them out with the cost to
you and the price at which you usually sell them.
If known write down their
individual weights (this will effect our delivery
costs).
Now think about what price you
would be willing to sell the products at on-line.
E.g.
| Product |
Cost Price |
Usual Retail Price |
Weight |
Price willing to sell |
Discount % |
| A |
£10.00 |
£29.99 |
95g |
19.99 |
33% |
| B |
£1.50 |
£3.99 |
40g |
£2.99 |
25% |
| C |
£40.00 |
£79.99 |
Dont Know |
£64.99 |
18.75% |
To offer the consumer maximum
incentive to shop at richworld.co.uk
the lower the prices are the better but you must
make a sensible margin and we must cover costs,
including p&p, and make a contribution
towards marketing costs. We must have a minimum
of 15% of the final selling price to allow us to
do this. The final price will therefore be
calculated after you have set your parameters. We
do not set your prices you do
bearing in mind that the final price should be
competitive.
Once your initial list is
completed (we will fill in any unknown weights)
and prices agreed youre ready to go.
Each product will be catalogued
with photo, description, price details and
postage and packing requirements.
The products will then go
on-line and presented to the viewing public(full
List)
- Why
should I want sales via you when I could make
larger profit selling direct from the store?
You can not make a larger profit selling
direct from the store.
You may have a larger margin on
each product but you will sell far fewer than the
eventual quantity that you will be selling on the
Internet.
E.g.
In-store you may sell ten (10)
of Product A per week, grossing 10x £29.99 (£299.90),
An associated total margin of
10 x £19.99 (£199.90)
On-line you may be selling
thirty (30) of Product A per week within a short
space of time, grossing 30 x £19.99 (£599.70)
An associated total margin of
30 x £9.99 (£299.70)
Of course we can not guarantee
how much extra you will sell but the truth is
your in-store sales need not be affected. Your
new sales will be coming from all over the
country and will not reduce your store traffic or
sales.
Only lack of stock would mean
you sell your last item to an on-line customer
for a slightly smaller margin then you
re-stock.
You can even avoid this one
sale inform richworld.co.uk
when you are down to your last 2 stock items (as
required*) and the product will be taken off-line
until your stocks are replenished you lose
nothing.
(*If it is a previously agreed
product you may not have to always have product
in stock).(full List)
- What
happens if I run out of stock?
Your products promoted at richworld.co.uk must be in stock*. If stock is depleted
you must inform richworld.co.uk as
soon as possible so that the product can be
removed from consumers choice on the
shopping site.
Officially you should inform richworld.co.uk when you are down to your last two
stock items of any product so that it can be
removed from on-line display until stock is
replenished.
If a supplier fails on three (3) occasions to have supply of an ordered
product, on the day the order is passed on, then
that supplier will lose the right to be the sole
supplier of that product and will most likely
lose all rights of supply to richworld.co.uk.
If the stock position is
disclosed in advance, then it will be up to richworld.co.uk to remove the product from consumer
choice and the supplier will lose no rights.
*Some products will, by prior
written agreement, be available on-line even
though no immediate stock is available.
Individual delivery time requirements will be
agreed for these products and the customer will
be made aware of longer delivery times for such
products.(full List)
- What
happens if a product is returned?
Statutory rights are unaffected.
a) Goods must be as described
(description approved by supplier).
b) Of satisfactory quality.
c) Fit for their purpose.
If the goods do not conform to
a), b) or c) then the supplier will accept
liability to refund the full price paid or
exchange (accepting postage and packing costs
incurred) as desired by the customer.
Failure to comply with
statutory rights and accept associated costs will
be grounds for immediate removal as a supplier to
richworld.co.uk.
If: -
d) Consumer told about fault
(not that we would want to promote faulty goods)
e) Consumer did the damage
f) Consumer made a mistake
g) Consumer changed their mind
then the consumer will not be
legally entitled to refund or exchange and
neither richworld.co.uk nor the suppliers shall be liable.
However for long term consumer
satisfaction richworld.co.uk
and the relevant supplier may discuss and agree
upon a goodwill gesture.
If: -
h) Colour described/shown and
actual colour in the flesh differ
then since description is to be
agreed by richworld.co.uk and supplier then richworld.co.uk will share the cost of refund or
exchange with the supplier (this applies to
colour description only).
All products will have
individual packing and delivery requirements.
These will be put forward by richworld.co.uk and approved, with modifications if
necessary, by the supplier.
Hence certain products will
have to be signed for to protect the supplier and
richworld.co.uk from fraudulent claims of non-delivery.
All complaints and queries will
be directed to richworld.co.uk in
the first instance. We will pass them on to the
individual suppliers to be resolved as necessary.(full
